MEET THE OWNER
Aleksandar “Aleks” Novakovic
Owner · Licensed Journeyman Electrician
Aleks completed a four-year electro-technical program with a focus on programming in Serbia in 2009. After coming to Canada, he completed a five-year electrical apprenticeship and passed his Certificate of Qualification examination on his first attempt.
He founded CBK Electric in 2016 because working with his hands, solving difficult problems and building things properly came naturally to him. The company’s name has personal roots, drawn from initials that were meaningful when the business began. Today, it also represents the responsibility Aleks feels toward his family, his team and every customer who trusts CBK with a project.
Before building CBK, Aleks worked with Etech, Arc Brothers, OZZ Electric and Urban Electrical, gaining experience in non-union shops and with IBEW Local 353 contractors. That background shaped a practical approach that works across homes, commercial projects, institutional spaces, industrial facilities and service work.

DGR Design & Build
Since 2025, CBK and DGR have completed five substantial projects together, with two more in development. The work is focused on high-end custom homes and additions where coordination, detail and finish quality matter.
Doracon Inc.
Over roughly four years, CBK has completed more than 25 projects with Doracon. The relationship covers mostly commercial and institutional work, along with selected residential projects.
TAKING RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT MATTERS
Recovering a project after deficient electrical work.
CBK was asked to take over a residential project after the previous electrical work had created serious problems. We reviewed what had been installed, identified the deficiencies, rewired the incorrect work and helped bring the project back under control. The work protected the homeowner’s project and schedule—and the relationship that followed became a lasting one.
